A sheep aged 3 years with a open wound above the anus was examined for its management. The animal was having the recurrent rectal prolapsed through the open wound. Surgical management was done. Fistulous wound was scrapped and wound edges were trimmed. Mucocutaneous borders were separated and again resutured. The fistulous wound was closed. The wound healed uneventfully and was no occurrence of the fistula even after six months.
