A ten old bitch was presented with signs of intractable emesis and severe abdominal pain. Plain radiography confirmed the presence of a metallic foreign body in the stomach. Further, Gastro duodenoscopy was performed under general anaesthesia and a metal bottle cap was visualised in funds of stomach. The bottle cap was manoeuvred and removed using rat toothed guide wire forceps successfully proving endoscopy as an effective technique while dealing with non-penetrating foreign bodies in canines.
