Commercial feed induced dermatitis was diagnosed in 13 cattle and 12 buffaloes. The skin scraping did not reveal any parasite, bacteria and mycelium in hairs or skin surface. Affected animals were provided with feed formulation computed using individual ingredients like ground nut cake, cotton seed cake, broken maize or soybean along with sulphur supplement. There was complete disappearance of skin lesions, fifteen days after withdrawal of commercial feeds and recommended treatment. Thus commercial feed induced dermatitis was attributed to increased concentration of urea in feed.
