Photosensitization Dermatitis in a Goat

Abstract

A two year old goat was presented with history of accidental ingestion of Lantana camara and clinical signs of dermatitis including hair loss and peeling of epidermis on ear pinna and dorsal aspect of body. The case was diagnosed as photosensitization dermatitis and animal was successfully treated with antihistaminics, hepatoprotectants and topical ointments.
