Scabies was observed in eight dogs exhibiting crust formation, hyperkeratosis, alopecia and intense pruritus at ear margins, face, legs and chest region. Owners also had intense pruritus, more severe during nights. Confirmation of mange was done by microscopic examination of scrapings. The infected dogs were treated with weekly twice oral administration of Ivermectin @ 200 μg/kg body weight, bathing with herbal shampoo and oral administration of Omega fatty acids. Improvement was noticed after completion of four doses of oral ivermectin along with supportive therapy.
