A female buffalo was presented with clinical symptoms of alopecia, pruritis, crusts and scabs on neck, shoulders and rump region. On microscopic examination of skin scraping, adult mite Psoroptes natalensi were identified based on morphological characteristics. The animal was treated with Ivermectin (parenterally) and Amitraz (topically) along with Vitamin E and Selenium as supportives.
