Dermatophytosis infested calves showed circular, circumscribed, greyish-white, crusty raised lesions on head, neck, dewlap, chest and body regions. Cultural examination of scrapings revealed colonies of Trichophyton spp. On basis of severity of lesions, calves were divided into four categories 1+ to 4+. Only seven affected calves with 4+ lesion category were taken for experimental study and were treated with poly herbal ointment along with Levamisole and Griseofulvin. All seven calves showed complete regression of lesions within 16.7 days ranging from 14–20 days. In conclusion, treatment of dermatophytosis in calves by polyherbal lotion, along with standard therapy was found highly effective and reduced treatment period.
