Two middle aged German Shepherd dogs with diffuse alopecia, lichenification, hyper-pigmentation in ventral abdomen with seborrhea were diagnosed as Elephant skin disease after confirming budding yeasts of Malasezzia pachydermatis in impression smear. The cases were managed successfully by oral and topical antibiotics and antifungal therapy along with application of keratolytic shampoo. Uneventful recovery after 60 days post-treatment was observed in both the cases.
