Abstract

A 10 month old female Labrador retriever dog was presented with history of recurrent skin disease with loss of hair, severe pruritus, dandruff and oily skin. Malasseziosis was diagnosed by examination of stained impression smears from lesions, cutlural isolation and identification. Thyroid function test revealed significantly lower levels of T4 level. Animal was successfuly treated with Ketaconazole and Levothyroxine.
