Abstract

A calf was presented with lesions characterized by exudation, thick scab formation and cracks and fissures on muzzle region. The condition was diagnosed as dermatophilosis based on microscopical examination of Gram's stained smears of skin scabs and cultural examination and biochemical tests. The calf was successfully treated with mixure of tincture iodine and glycerine (1:1) topically for a week.
