The study was aimed at evaluating the effect of antibacterial alone and antibacterial in combination with Zinc on canine pyoderma. Staphylococcus was the main organism isolated from skin lesion (78.45%). The clinical signs were papules, pustules, erythema, crust and fistulous tract. The Hb, PCV, TEC and A:G were significantly decreased and TLC and globulin were significantly increased in affected dogs. Following treatment more improvement was seen in the groups treated with antibacterial and zinc combination, confirming the importance of zinc as adjunct to antibacterials in treatment of Canine pyoderma.
