Abstract

A German shephard dog aged two years was presented with history of chronic itching for last one year and scaly rashes all over body mainly localized in dorsal region. The lesion characterized of dry and rough skin surface with scales and epithelial keratinization at the base of hair forming follicular cast, suggestive of inflammation of sebaceous glands thus a unifying key features of Sebaceous adenitis (SA). Long term treatment with immunosuppresive steriodal therapy along with long term topical shampoo therapy with keratolytics, anti-bacterial shampoo, supportive theray for skin nourishment assisted its management.
