Abstract

The study was conducted on 39 clinical cases of congenital and acquired abdominal affections less than 1 year aged bovine calves. The congenital affections were recorded in 18 (46.15%) calves and acquired were recorded in 21 (53.85%) calves. The calves were treated on general principle of management. The cases of urachus pervious were managed surgically by urachus ligation. Vertebral meningocele affected calf did not recover. Calves with navel ill, umbilical abscess, intestinal evisceration and omphalocele with ruminal fistula were successfully managed surgically.
