Abstract

The postpartum period in buffaloes is related with complications, diseases and metabolic disorders. As post partum fertility and productivity is directly related with smooth parturition, monitoring of parturition is mandatory under professional dairy farming. Veterinary control of parturition is possible with preventive strategies suggested by the veterinarians and strict vigil, hygiene and prompt treatment for healthy uterine repair. Present paper deals with most important post partum complications in buffaloes and their prevention and treatment measures.
