A Six year old Jersey crossbred cow was presented with 3rd degree uterine prolapse along with prolapsed intestines through a uterine tear. The animal was in sternal recumbency and moderately dehydrated. Medication was carried out with administration of intravenous normal saline and Ceftriaxone. Caudal epidural anesthesia was given and intestines were washed with warm saline solution. The intestines were inserted back into abdomen and tear was sutured using Cushing pattern. Finally the uterus was pushed back into pelvic cavity and Buhner's sutures were applied across vulva to prevent further prolapse. Animal was able to stand only after 12 hours and recovered fully.
