Abstract

An eight month old doe was presented with a reducible ventral abdomen swelling. It was diagnosed as umbilical hernia with a hernial ring of diameter 4 cm. The defect was repaired using sterile polypropylene mesh as prosthetic. The animal had an uneventful recovery without any recurrence or infection.
