Abstract

The colibacillosis infected diarrhoeic calves were divided in 5 groups for comparative therapeutic trial. The recovery from diarrhoea was observed in all five treatment groups suggestive of effectiveness of Ciprofloxacin in managing calf diarrhoea. Best therapeutic response was evoked with Ciprofloxacin orally and parenterally, parenteral fluid with Sodium bicarbonate and rice bran mixed with barley broken grains. Dietary management in form of rice bran mixed with barley broken grains assisted faster recovery in respective group.
