An outbreak of Contagious Ecthyma in sheep was observed in the lambs that were born to ewes in summer season due to lack of concentrate creep feed as well as sufficient green fodder. Most commonly the disease was prevalent in weak and under nourished lambs. Wounds/scabs occurred on lips and around nostrils and udders of ewes infected due to suckling of affected lambs. Lesions in various stages from papule to scab formation could be seen. Mucopurulent nasal discharges slightly tinged with blood could be seen in few sheep. A total of 8 lambs died within 2 days out of 30 lambs born in the season.
