The report documents stomatitis in a Spitz due to Malassezia sps. organisms. Affected dog showed pyrexia, pale mucous membranes, gingivitis, anorexia, halitosis, dysphagia, salivation and oral bleeding. Isolation studies from oral swab revealed presence of Malassezia organisms. Dog was treated with Ketoconazole and supportives and recovered successfully.
