Infectious Etiologicals Causing Mortality in Emu birds

Abstract

The mortality pattern in Emu birds due to infectious diseases was analysed based on the post mortems undertaken. The infectious causes of mortality were Aspergillosis (30.8%), unabsorbed yolk sac/Omphalitis (30.1%), Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD, 28.1%), Aflatoxicosis (10.3%) and necrotic enteritis (0.7%).
