Surgical Management of Mid-Shaft Metatarsal Bone Defect Using Bone Peg Allograft in a Goat

Abstract

An adult goat was reported with history of automobile accident causing compound, mid shaft oblique fracture of right metatarsal bone. Looking towards the considerable amount of bone loss and significant gap between two fractured ends, defect was repaired using bone peg allograft. Animal showed uneventful recovery and weight bearing of affected limb.
