Abstract

Ten dogs with long bone fractures were operated by locking compression plating under thiopentone and isoflurane anaesthesia. The wound healing was satisfacgtory to good and took 10–20 days for complete wound healing. The gait of dogs normalized within 21 days. Time required for clinical healing fracture was 60 days and was 45 days for attending full mobility. The alignment of bone fragments was good in all the animals.
