Abstract

A four years old Capped langur (Trachypithecus pileatus durga) was rescued with history of traumatic injury and complete fracture of left arm. The left arm was swollen and painful on palpation. Immediate medical care was provided and fracture was managed by retrograde intramedullary pinning. The arm was immobilized after intramedullary pinning using acrylic cast. Proper post-operative care and support were provided till complete healing. Gradual functional recovery of arm occurred two months after immobilization.
