White fantail pigeons of young age were showing non-specific clinical signs like depression, anorexia, circling, reluctant to fly, ruffled feathers and dark greenish watery faeces. Sixteen pigeons in the flock of 95 had already died. Blood smear examination and histopathology were done to arrive at the diagnosis of Haemproteus infection. Treatment of pigeons with Buparvaquone along with control measures resulted into successful containment of infection.
