A buffalo was admitted with history of corneal laceration and protruding mass from left eye for last 2-3 days. Clinical examination showed an entangled iris in corneal wound with intact anterior chamber. The animal was subjected to iris reposition and corneal wound repair. The adhesions between iris and cornea were gently separated and iris was reposed back to its normal position. The corneal wound was closed by simple interrupted sutures. The animal recovered uneventfully except mild vascularisation and corneal opacity at the suture line during the healing period which resolved later.
