Primary nasal transmissible venereal tumor (TVT) though reported rarely was diagnosed based on cytological examination, in 2 of the 16 dogs suffering from chronic respiratory affections and of the five dogs with upper respiratory tract affections. The higher prevalence of nasal TVT in present study makes it a key differential in chronic upper respiratory problems that could be related to huge street dog population in India.
