Diagnosis of Nasal Adenocarcinoma in a Goat

A goat was presented with history of mucopurulent nasal discharge, dyspnoea with audible rales and open mouth breathing. Grossly, there was unilateral right facial swelling with tumorous masses in each nasal cavity with severe necrosis, presence of maggots and distortion of nasal bones. Cytological smears revealed large pleomorphic cluster of round to polygonal epithelial cells and neutrophils. Microscopically, neoplastic cells infiltration with large round nuclei were observed. Cytopathology and histopathology confirmed nasal adenocarcinoma.
