Abstract

A jersey crossbred calf with history of difficulty in drinking milk was presented for treatment. Clinical examination revealed hard mass in oral cavity. Under general anaesthesia, the mass was removed surgically. Grossly the mass was white coloured irregular round to spherical in shape and very hard to cut. Histologically, the tumor composed of variable sized cords, strands and islands of odontogenic epithelium and surrounded by primitive mesenchymal connective tissue. Based on gross and histopathological features, the tumor was confirmed as ameloblastic fibro odontoma and managed surgically.
