Abstract

The study was designed to compare the efficacy of Ovsynch plus early luteal phase GnRH treatment at random and at 6th day of estrous cycle on estrus pattern and fertility in repeat breeder cows. Time required for onset of signs of estrus in Group I and II from PGF2α injection was 47.21±3.67 and 52.09±4.87 hours respectively. Conception rate in Group I and II was found to be 33.33 and 66.67 percent respectively. Accessory corpus luteum was found in all cows subsequent to GnRH on 6th day of estrous cycle. Initiation of Ovsynch plus early luteal phase GnRH treatment on 6th day of estrous cycle was found to be better in repeat breeder cows.
