The animals were divided in to three groups comprising of Group I PGFα (n=20), Group II Lugol's Iodine (n=20) and Group III control cows (n=20). The criteria for comparative assessment of drug efficacy were absence of pus in discharge, occurrence of estrus and conception rate. Animals treated with Lugol's iodine showed highest conception rate (70%) followed by PGF2α (60%) and control (30%). Reoccurrence of heat and pus flakes absence were also highest with Group II followed by Group I and Group III, respectively.
