Twelve adult dogs and an eight months pup were presented with complaints of diarrhea, anorexia, abdominal discomfort and gradual weakness. On physical examination, long tapeworm segments were seen protruding out from anus of some of these dogs. Gross and microscopic examination of the shed out tapeworm segments including micrometry of the eggs confirmed diphyllobothriosis in dogs. The dogs were successfully treated with Praziquantel along with supportive therapy.
