Abstract

The communication describes successful management of two Black kites with oral trichomoniasis. The nodules were restricted to oral cavity. The birds were kept in isolation and treated using Metronidazole @ 50mg/kg by intravenously for five days and were successfully removed. Supportive treatment constituted of Ringers lactate, Enrofloxacin, Meloxicam and Vitamin B-complex. Hence it is established that frounce can be successfully treated in Black kites (Milvus migrans) using Metronidazole.
