Esophageal obstruction due to palm kernels was reported, diagnosed and surgically managed in eight Murrah buffaloes. The cervical esophagotomy was successfully performed in six buffaloes, without any post-operative stenosis. One animal was treated with retrieval of foreign bodies via rumenotomy and another animal died due to obstruction and dyspnoea.
