Abstract

A calf and buffalo were presented with inability to swallow feed and water, excessive salivation, restlessness, regurgitation of feed and water and palpable swelling at left lateral cervical part of oesophagus and bloat. Considering all signs, the animals were diagnosed as affected with cervical oesophageal obstruction (choke). Oesophagotomy was performed and foreign body was removed and recovered uneventfully.
