A ram with swelling on the dorso-lateral aspect of neck was suspected to have hydatid cyst which was confirmed during surgical excision of cyst. The cyst was removed and cavity was filled with seton. Post-operative administration of antibiotics, analgesics and anthelmintics ensured clinical recovery.
