A cow was presented with history of three and half months pregnancy, intermittent colic, abdominal distension, anorexia and complete faecal cessation for last twelve days. Right flank exploratory laparotomy confirmed caecal dilatation and torsion. Typhlotomy was performed and torsion was relieved by rotating the caecum on its longitudinal axis. The animal recovered without any complications and started feeding normally on sixth post-operative day.
