Thirteen calves were presented with absence of anal opening, diagnosed as atresia ani and treated by surgical intervention. Four calves were presented late showing associated affections like rectal diverticulum and regurgitation. Radiography aided in diagnosing the type of atresia ani. After stabilization, calves were treated by surgical intervention under local analgesia. The surgical outcome was compared among cases presented earlier and delayed.
