Five pluriparous high yielder cows parturated 48–72 hrs before reported with uterine prolapse. Severe abdominal straining, restlessness and struggling, anorexia, reduced water intake, increased pulse rate and respiration rate (tachycardia). Protruding mass was hanging out through the vulva with edematous swelling, contaminated with soil, dung particles, dirt with inflamed tissue necrotic, areas, lacerations and reddening. The prolapsed uterus were managed by repositioned and treated with anti-inflammatory, broad spectrum antibiotics, antihistaminics, uterotonics and supportive drugs.
Cow, post partum, uterine prolapse
