Abstract

A primiparous Holstein Friesian crossbred cow was presented with lameness and pain at toe region of lateral claws of both forelimbs. Clinical examination and hoof trimming confirmed toe ulcer and apical necrosis of distal phalanx. The animal was treated with antibiotics and anti-inflammatory agents along with foot dressing and bandaging. Timely reviews and hoof care lead to uneventful recovery.
