A Holstein Friesian cow was presented with history of teat laceration due to barbed wire while grazing. The cow was restrained in lateral recumbency and sedation was achieved using Xylazine hydrochloride and anesthesia of teat was achieved by ring block technique. The skin and muscularis of lacerated teat was sutured. Animal recovered uneventfully without any complications.
