Abstract

A male cow calf was presented with complaint of not passing urine and discomfort since last three days. Radiography of confirmed uroabdomen. The abdominal contents were removed with trocharisation, urethrotomy was performed and urolith was removed and patency of urinary bladder was checked by passing a suitable sized polyethylene tube into the bladder for continuity in urine flow. Polyethylene tube was removed after ten days. Post-operative antibiotics, analgesics and corticosteroids along with intravenous fluids made the calf recover uneventfully.
