The study was conducted to identify the etiology for dermatitis in cattle and to adopt treatment measures. Skin scrapping was collected from affected animals. Microscopic examination and culture revealed coccoid organism with tram track appearance confirmative for Dermatophilus congolensis and found to be most sensitive to Cefadroxil followed by Tetracycline. Animals were treated using parenteral antibiotics like Oxytetracycline, anti-histaminics and topical application of Whitfield's ointment. Parenteral antibiotics and topical appliications assists in faster recovery and restoration.
