The study was conducted in eight dogs with femoral fracture. The main etiology of fractures was automobile accident followed by fall from height. The types of fractures were comminuted (1), transverse (5) and short oblique (2). All dogs were treated with 6 hole or 8 hole dynamic compression plating with cortical and cancellous screws based on type of fracture. Dynamic compression plating technique was effective in all case for repair of diaphyseal femoral fractures.
