Abstract

The study evaluated the effect of copper glycinate administration on the hemato-biochemical and plasma minerals levels in six pregnant dams and their calves. Blood samples for mineral, hematological and biochemical parameters were collected from dams and also their calves at 0, 15 and 30 days. Significantly higher plasma copper levels were recorded in copper supplemented dams and their calves as compared to control. Similarly, a decrease was noted in plasma copper levels in calves suffering from diarrhea as compared to control calves.
