Eighteen (18) buffaloes out of 48 suspected cases were diagnosed positive for presence of A. marginale infection on PCR. Various hematological and biochemical parameters were estimated from anaplasmosis infected and apparently healthy (control) buffaloes. The mean hemoglobin (Hb), PCV and TEC of infected buffaloes was significantly lower than healthy buffaloes. Whereas, mean values of AST, ALT, ALP, TBIL and total protein of affected buffaloes were significantly higher than healthy buffaloes. The mean values of glucose in affected buffaloes was significantly lower than healthy buffaloes (p <0.05). Progressive restoration of various hemato-biochemical parameters towards normalcy was observed on 14th day of treatment with two intramuscular Inj. Oxytetracycline long acting @ 20mg/kg b. wt. along with oral hematinic and herbal liver tonic supplementation for ten days.
