A clinico-pathological study was conducted on ten dogs showing clinical signs of fever, emaciation pale mucs membrane and hind limb paralysis. Blood samples were processed for hematological and biochemical alterations. The diagnosis was made by finding H. canis gamonts within leucocytes in Giemsa stained blood smears. Anemia, leucocytopenia with neutrophilia, thrombocytopenia were significant findings in hematological investigation. Abnormal serum biochemical values were hyperproteinaemia, increased serum alkaline phosphatase activity and increased serum alanine transaminase activity indicating liver damage.
