The total bacterial count, total coliform count and isolations of coprological samples of different herbivore, carnivore, avian and rodents were studied. The study revealed that E. coli, Bacillus spp., Shigella spp., Clostridium perfringens, Staphylococcus spp., Pseudomonas spp., Salmonella spp. and Klebsiella spp. of bacteria were isolated from apparently healthy zoo animals. These animal may be acting as carriers for spreading the microbes.
