A crossbred cattle with signs of reddish milk from apparently normal quarters was presented. Leptospirosis was diagnosed by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Inoculation into selective media for other mastitic bacteria yielded no growth. The cases responded to treatment with penicillin and supportive therapy.
