Abstract

Two horses were presented with history of floating worm in right eye along with corneal opacity, epiphora, conjunctivitis and poor vision. Clinical examination of eye revealed thread like worm having vigorous movement in aqueous humour causing corneal opacity. Eye worms were surgically removed under general anaesthesia with surgical site at 12 o’clock on the limbus. Post-operatively, antibiotic and anti-inflammatory drugs were given. Both horses recovered uneventfully without any complications.
