A mare was presented with skin erythema, papules on neck, dermatitis and alopecia on neck and shoulder region. The skin scraping examination revealed Demodex mite infestation. The horse was treated with Inj. Ivermectin @ 200 μg/kg b. wt. subcutaneously twice at week interval. The skin scraping was recorded negative for Demodex mite, two weeks post-treatment and skin lesions resolved completely. Hematological and serum biochemical analysis revealed increase in neutrophils and ALT, respectively.
